Stay True to Your Branding
One of my pet peeves is to have a business owner hand me a card that gives me the company URL, and then have an email account that is Gmail, or Hotmail, or Yahoo! It’s so easy to set up your email account. Frankly, most hosting accounts give you at least one email address, and often give you many more.
You don’t work for those companies, so why are you advertising for them?
Many people will look at your business card or information and wonder why you do not have an email account that reflects your business name. If you have a domain and hosting account, you should have an email address. It’s part of your branding. And unfortunately you do yourself a disservice by not having an email with your company name.
I understand the ease of using online email programs. Did you know you can have your company email delivered to your preferred email provider? So you do not have to invest in some expensive email program like Outlook, or get rid of the convenience of your Gmail account. All you have to do is set up your company email to be delivered to your preferred email provider. Simple!
Look, I know that you get busy and that sometimes it’s just easier to use the email you are used to. That will make you look smaller and less professional, and I don’t want that for you. It only takes a few minutes to set up your company email to be delivered to your preferred email account. They have tutorials that will walk you through it, and frankly, it’s worth the time!
Stay true to your branding – give yourself a boost in professional appearance and get your company email set up today!
